IOWA INSURANCE INSTITUTE PLEDGES $10,000 TO THE FOOD BANK OF IOWA

The Iowa Insurance Institute (III) donated $10,000 to the Food Bank of Iowa on behalf of its member companies in a special donation to help Iowans impacted by the COVID-19 shutdown.

“The Iowa Insurance Institute is very excited to support the Food Bank of Iowa during this very challenging time,” said Aaron Pearce, board president, Iowa Insurance Institute. “Our industry remains committed to helping Iowans.”

“As more and more Iowans continue to struggle with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, many find themselves in the unfamiliar position of seeking food assistance,” said Michelle Book, president and CEO of Food Bank of Iowa. “This generous gift from the Iowa Insurance Institute will have an immediate impact and help us provide support to our neighbors in need.”

III wishes to show its support and the commitment of the insurance industry to the state. With this donation, III hopes to help alleviate the high demand for food and supplies that local food banks and pantries provide. With thousands of Iowans suddenly without jobs it is more important now than ever to donate to your local food bank.
